From the President
The 2014-2015 school year marks Bishop Kenny High School’s 63rd year of service to the young people of Northeast Florida. Nearly 15,000 graduates have benefited from the opportunities provided by our school since its founding in the fall of 1952. I am proud to report that we remain committed to the original mission of our school; to prepare students well for college and for life in the tradition for which Catholic high schools have always been known.
Bishop Kenny High School has built an enviable reputation in the Jacksonville community, and beyond, by providing an excellent college-preparatory curriculum for students of every academic ability and from every walk of life. We are always gratified and affirmed when our graduates report that they were exceptionally well prepared for the academic challenges of college. Indeed, many of these students have shared that Bishop Kenny was more challenging than their freshman year of college!
As a comprehensive college-preparatory school we are proud of the many opportunities and the diverse curriculum that are available to our students. Our Campus Ministry Department, Guidance Department, Fine Arts programs, Athletic program and extensive extra-curricular activities provide so many opportunities for a well-rounded high school experience in addition to an excellent course of study.
We welcome the opportunity to discuss our programs and to provide tours of our campus and facilities for prospective families. On behalf of all of us, I am happy to welcome you to Bishop Kenny High School.
Rev. Michael R. Houle
