Earlier this week, Junior Kathleen McClellan presented her science project entitled “Sterilization of Bacteria on Restaurant Menus to Reduce Cross Contamination” to the Jacksonville Area Microbiology Society.
Kathleen had previously won 1st Place at the Northeast Florida Regional Science and Engineering Fair and 4th Place at the State of Florida Fair for her project, and was presented with a plaque and a check for $100 at the JAMS ceremony. She was also awarded 50% tuition by the Florida Institute of Technology.
