1952-2027

 

As we commemorate 75 years of service, we thank those who have helped build and sustain our school: the religious sisters, pastors, teachers, staff, and families who believed in the mission and helped it thrive. We honor the past, rejoice in the present, and look to the future with hope - continuing to form Crusaders who are embracing a servant heart and leading lives of purpose at our school and beyond. Join us throughout this school year as we come together to celebrate this milestone and reflect on the legacy of our community. Save the date for the various celebrations we have planned and check back here throughout the year for all things BK75.

Bishop Kenny High School’s history is deeply woven into the city's history: a landmark in one of Jacksonville’s historic neighborhoods and a lasting witness to the generations of families, teachers, students, and faith leaders who helped shape it. More than seven decades later, Bishop Kenny remains a beacon of Catholic education on the banks of the St. Johns River, carrying forward a legacy of faith, excellence, service, and community.

75th Anniversary Year Prayer

Heavenly Father, with grateful hearts, we celebrate 75 years of Bishop Kenny High School. We praise You for the bold vision of our founder, Archbishop Joseph P. Hurley, who planted this beacon of Catholic education on the river's edge. 
 

Grant us grace to emulate our namesake, Bishop William J. Kenny, in humility, kindness, and selfless charity— the true marks of a Crusader for Christ. 
 

Bless our students, faculty, staff, benefactors, and alumni. May we continue to grow in faith, knowledge that seeks Your truth, and service that builds Your Kingdom. Honoring our legacy, guide us forward with courage, wisdom, and love. 
 

We ask this through Christ, our Lord, Amen.
