Congratulations to seniors MJ Cascone and Emily Rrukaj, who have been named Bishop Kenny’s December Students of the Month! Recognized for their remarkable qualities of service, generosity, and compassion, these outstanding Crusaders exemplify the values at the heart of our school community.
MJ Cascone, a dedicated senior, has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to helping others, accumulating over 800 hours of community service. He credits his ability to connect with and support others as one of his greatest strengths. “Helping others brings me joy and fulfillment,” Cascone shared, reflecting on the impact of his service efforts.
Emily Rrukaj shares a similar passion for serving her community. With an impressive 2,600 service hours, Rrukaj has set a goal of reaching 3,000 hours before graduation. “Service both in my community and my parish has always been something that means a lot to me,” she explained. “It makes me feel very fulfilled being able to help others. I credit my father and the St. Joseph community for teaching me the joy of serving.”
Both students expressed their gratitude for the Bishop Kenny community and their friends, whose encouragement has motivated them to give more than they receive. Cascone and Rrukaj’s commitment to serving others is a testament to the positive influence of their families, their faith, and the values instilled at Bishop Kenny. Looking ahead, both honorees hope to continue their education at either the University of North Florida or Jacksonville University, allowing them to stay close to home while continuing to make a difference in their local community.
