February Students of the Month: Emma Gregory and Thomas Cratem

Bishop Kenny High School Celebrates February Students of the Month

Bishop Kenny High School is proud to recognize seniors Emma Gregory and Thomas Cratem as the February Students of the Month. These outstanding Crusaders were selected by their peers for their exemplary character, respect, and integrity, which they consistently demonstrate both inside and outside the classroom.

Emma Gregory is an exceptional student who excels in a rigorous academic program. She is a member of multiple honor societies, including English, Hispanic, Mu Alpha Theta, Rho Kappa, Science, and the National Honor Society. In addition to her academic achievements, Emma participates in the Interact, History, Spanish, and Science Clubs. Her commitment to service is evident through her active involvement in the BK St. Vincent de Paul Society, where she has accumulated over 366 service hours.

As a Bishop Kenny student ambassador since her sophomore year, Emma represents the school at special events with pride and dedication. She is also a key member of the BK Elite Dance Team, which she has been part of since her freshman year. Emma shares, “The dance team has been a huge motivation for me, teaching me to always do my best in every aspect of my life and remembering the greater goal is for the team and not the individual. I am thankful to have my teammates as friends; they always build me up.” Emma plans to attend the University of Miami to pursue a major in meteorology.

Thomas Cratem is an accomplished student with a rigorous academic schedule and the distinction of being a National Merit Semi-Finalist. He is a member of the English, Mu Alpha Theta, Rho Kappa, Science, Spanish, and National Honor Societies. Thomas serves as the Student Government Secretary and is a dedicated Bishop Kenny student ambassador. His extracurricular involvement includes the Brain Brawl Team, Interact, Spanish, and History Clubs.

Thomas’ commitment to service is equally impressive. He is actively involved in the St. Vincent de Paul Society, Campus Ministry Club, and Crusader Athletes for Christ. He also serves as an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion and has received the prestigious Diocesan Christus Vivit Award.

As a four-year member of the cross country and track teams, Thomas has developed a passion for running. He reflects, “Running cross country at BK has helped me build my character, and these last four years have been amazing, instilling in me commitment, personal dedication, and team growth.” Thomas is considering his college options to pursue a degree in an engineering field.

Emma and Thomas exemplify the values of Bishop Kenny High School and serve as outstanding role models for their peers. Congratulations to these exceptional Crusaders for their remarkable achievements and contributions to the Bishop Kenny community!
