Jasmyne Roberts '21: Greater Jacksonville Sports Awards Female Athlete of the Year

In a virtual ceremony held on Monday, June 28, the Greater Jacksonville High School Sports Awards recognized Northeast Florida’s top performers in high school athletics for the 2020-2021 year. Among those recognized was Bishop Kenny’s own, Jasmyne Roberts ’21, who was awarded the title of Female Athlete of the Year.

Though she has been recognized for many individual awards throughout her Crusader career, Jasmyne has always had a “We over Me” mentality. As a three-time first-team All-First Coast selection, she has helped carry the Crusaders to three straight final four appearances and 2 state runner-up titles. Earlier this year, she was named the Florida Dairy Farmers Class 4A Girls Basketball Player of the Year for the second consecutive year and the Miss Basketball Runner-up. In addition, Jasmyne finished her high school career with 2,224 points and 1,005 rebounds in her four seasons.

Jasmyne is most deserving of this recognition, and the staff and faculty at Bishop Kenny are extremely proud of her accomplishments. She will continue playing at the collegiate level while studying Sports Broadcasting at the University of Miami. Congratulations, Jasmyne!
