March Student of the Month: Olivia Wallace

Congratulations to Senior Olivia Wallace who has been named the Bishop Kenny High School March student of the month.  She was recognized for Dependability and Citizenship by the faculty and staff.  Olivia was honored to be selected and said, “I work hard to be the best I can be in all my courses and maintain my grades. I also enjoy helping others in my classes and people in the community.”

Olivia has a challenging academic schedule and is currently in Mu Alpha Theta, Rho Kapp, Science and Spanish Honor Societies, and the National Honor Society.  Olivia finds the time to be involved in extra-curricular activities and enjoys sharing her faith, accumulating over 650 service hours.  She has participated in Urban Plunge as well as the Students of the Year Campaign for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, and she continues to involve herself in Sacred Heart Youth Ministry and the Society of St. Vincent de Paul.  Olivia is an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion at BK and is active at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church.

Olivia will be attending Auburn University in the fall in hopes of pursuing a medical career as either a doctor or a nurse practitioner.  She is thankful for her four years at BK stating, “I have learned to balance academics, friendships, and my spiritual life at Bishop Kenny, and I believe I am truly ready to for the next step in my life.”
