March Students of the Month: Kate Mayfield and Robert Measor

Bishop Kenny High School is proud to recognize seniors Robert Measor and Kate Mayfield as our March Students of the Month. This honor is especially meaningful, as they were selected by faculty and staff for consistently demonstrating the core traits of Respect, Dependability, and Citizenship in their daily lives on campus.

Kate Mayfield is deeply involved in campus life and finds great joy in supporting both school and community events. She is an active member of the Anchor Club and serves on the Yearbook staff, helping to capture the moments that define the Crusader experience. Whether in the stands or on the sidelines, Kate can be found cheering on her classmates and bringing enthusiastic school spirit to athletic events. She shared that receiving this recognition is such an honor and expressed heartfelt gratitude to Ms. Merrill, her favorite teacher, whose guidance continually inspires her to give her best in all that she does. Following graduation, Kate will attend University of Tampa to pursue a major in advertising and communications.

Robert Measor exemplifies leadership and commitment both in the classroom and in athletics. A dedicated two-sport varsity athlete, he serves as a captain of the football team and is also a member of the weightlifting team. Beyond athletics, Robert is a BK Student Ambassador and actively participates in Crusader Athletes for Christ, as well as the Latin, History, and Science Clubs. He shared how much the award means to him and credited Coach Duclos for having a profound impact on his life, teaching him leadership on the football field and how to apply those lessons to become a stronger person off the field. Robert received a nomination to the United States Military Academy at West Point from U.S. Representative John H. Rutherford and hopes to attend the service academy while continuing his football career. He plans to major in business and economics as he pursues his dream of serving his country.

Congratulations to Kate and Robert on this well-deserved recognition. They truly represent the very best of the Crusader spirit.
