May Student of the Month: Isabella Cratem

Congratulations to Senior Isabella Cratem who has been named the Bishop Kenny High School May student of the month.  She was recognized for Best All Around-Perseverance and Motivation.  Isabella’s philosophy is straightforward, and she stated, “I have a ‘never give up’ mentality!  When I am faced with a difficult situation, I just keep going no matter how long it takes me to reach my goal.”  She has been very successful at BK, and her strategy is definitely working.

Isabella has a challenging academic schedule and is currently the president of National Honor Society, Treasurer of Spanish Honor Society and a member of Mu Alpha Theta, English, and Science Honor Societies. Isabella serves as the Chaplain for the St. Vincent de Paul Society, the Historian for Anchor Club, and is a member of the Spanish Club.  Serving others is very important to Isabella and she enjoys serving as an Extra Ordinary Minister of Holy Communion and has accumulated over 380 service hours.   She is a four-year member of Cross Country and Track & Field teams.

Isabella will be attending the University of Florida in the fall, majoring in engineering.  She enjoys math and problem solving and sees engineering as a pathway to use her talents.  She has bright hopes for the future and would like to make a difference in the lives of others.  She stated, “When I wake up every day, I tell myself to make it the best day for me and everyone that I meet.  I want to make every person’s day better and share Christ’s love with others.”
