In the spirit of recognizing outstanding achievements and contributions to our community, Bishop Kenny High School is proud to spotlight our May Students of the Month. This month, we honor Mallory Swain and Andrew Patelli as Best All Around for their remarkable perseverance and motivation both inside and outside the classroom.
Mallory’s excellence in academics, athletics, and service is a testament to her commitment to be the best version of herself. She is a member of the English, Mu Alpha Theta, National Honor Society, and Spanish Honor Societies and an Extra Ordinary Minister of Holy Communion. She has showcased her talent and dedication on the varsity indoor and beach volleyball teams. Mallory will continue to pursue her passion for volleyball at Bellmont Abbey College. Reflecting on her journey, Mallory shared, “I feel like I get a tremendous amount of support from everyone at Bishop Kenny to be the best version of myself, and I am thankful for my friends, teachers, and coaches for helping me become who I am today."
Andrew Patelli embodies the spirit of determination, perseverance, and motivation in academics and athletics while playing varsity baseball. He is a member of the English, Mu Alpha Theta, Rho Kappa, Latin, and National Honor Societies and participates in History Club and Interact Club. Andrew is faith driven; he is the Vice President of Catholic Athletes for Christ and is also an Extra Ordinary Minister of Holy Communion. Reflecting on his future at Franciscan University of Steubenville, Andrew expresses his excitement, saying, "Baseball has taught me to be persistent and diligent in my work ethic on and off the field, and I am excited to carry on my family’s legacy by attending Franciscan University, following my parents and older brother’s footsteps."
As we celebrate Mallory Swain and Andrew Patelli as our May Students of the Month, we commend them for their outstanding achievements, leadership, and commitment to excellence. They are shining examples of the Bishop Kenny spirit, and we are proud to have them represent our school.
