National Signing Day: April 21

Bishop Kenny High School proudly celebrated National Signing Day on April 21, 2026, honoring student-athletes who have committed to continue their academic and athletic careers at the collegiate level. Each of these Crusaders has demonstrated excellence in the classroom and a deep commitment to their sport, reflecting the strong tradition of scholar-athletes at Bishop Kenny.

Leading this year’s class is Alexis Wilson, who will continue her academic and athletic career at Emory University. A three-time state champion and a member of the 2026 Florida Dairy Farmers Academic All-State Team, Alexis has been a standout both on and off the course. She shared, “Running taught me that discipline, consistency, and patience lead to success. More importantly, running at Bishop Kenny has shown me the power of being on a team where we all work together and cheer each other on to achieve those special milestones.”

Wilson is joined by her fellow Cross Country and Track & Field teammates, whose success has helped define one of the most dominant programs in the state. Addison Evans will attend Newberry College after contributing to the 2026 state championship season. Olivia Jansen will continue her career at Wofford College as a two-time state champion, while Olivia Lumpkin, a three-time state champion, will attend Nova Southeastern University. Together, these athletes have played an integral role in continuing Bishop Kenny’s championship legacy.

Also recognized were three Crusaders who will continue competing at the collegiate level across multiple sports. Maddie Wilkey will attend The Catholic University of America, where she will compete in both volleyball and track & field. Emilio Calderon will continue his soccer career at Franciscan University, and Gavin Hawkins will play football at Hudson Valley Community College. Their dedication and versatility have made a lasting impact on their respective programs.

Emma Gallup will continue her academic and athletic journey at Michigan State University as a coxswain on the rowing team. While Bishop Kenny does not offer a rowing program, the school proudly celebrates Emma’s pursuit of her passion and her commitment to competing at the collegiate level.

Bishop Kenny is proud of these student-athletes and grateful to the families, coaches, and teachers who have supported them along the way. Their hard work and perseverance have earned them this opportunity, and the Crusader community looks forward to cheering them on as they represent Bishop Kenny at the next level.
