September Students of the Month: Lauren Reichard and Jayce Lam

Congratulations to Seniors Lauren Reichard and Jayce Lam, Bishop Kenny’s September Students of the Month.  They were selected for Friendship, Kindness and Humility.  Lauren and Jayce are two seniors who can honestly say they have enjoyed the friendships they developed in their four years as Crusaders.  Reichard stated, “I feel like I am a friendly face to many people, and I enjoy saying ‘hi’ to my classmates, teachers, and friends every day.”  Lam shared his thoughts on meeting new friends stating, “I found that BK has given me an opportunity to meet and engage with other students who openly share their love for Jesus Christ and find joy in attending daily Mass.”

Reichard and Lam both have rigorous academic schedules, are Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion, and are involved in multiple extra-curricular activities. Reichard is a member of the Spanish Club, Student Ambassadors, and the Crusader basketball team. She is also the President of Catholic Athletes for Christ and is a member of the English, Spanish, and National Honor Societies. Lam is a member of the Interact and Spanish Clubs and enjoys participating in sports outside of BK.

Reichard would like to attend Auburn University and follow in her mother’s path to become a lawyer.  She commented, “I love my family and they make me so happy; I want to always make them proud of me.”  Lam would like to attend Ave Maria and major in biology so that he can attend medical school to become a surgeon.  His goal is to be able to give back to others in the medical profession and spread the Good News of the Gospel.
