Typically scholarly sources are written by professionals with advanced degrees.
Often a good scholarly source will be peer-reviewed.
A peer-reviewed source has been fact-checked by experts.
Where to find scholarly sources: research databases and academic journals.
Examples of sources that are not scholarly and should not be used in your schoolwork: Wikipedia, SparkNotes, Cliffs Notes, Litcharts, Shmoop, Enotes, Gradesaver.
