Congratulations, Joey Cusick ‘19, Bishop Kenny High School’s student of the month for April. He was selected for “Athletics – Courage and Determination.” Joey is honored to receive the recognition. “It has taken everything I have to compete on the wrestling team this year,” he said. “I tore my labrum in my right shoulder during playoffs and really fought hard to make it to the state tournament.” He placed fifth. Joey, a member of the Latin Club and the National Honor Society, also enjoys working at Camp I Am Special during the summer. “Helping the kids made me realize that the courage and determination they show every day at camp makes all my problems seem small.” Joey, who has accrued 363 service hours to date, will be attending Florida State University where he aspires to be on the club wrestling team.
