From the Principal

Dear Friends of Bishop Kenny High School,

This year Bishop Kenny marks our 68th year of service to the Jacksonville community. Since its founding in the fall of 1952, more than 16,000 graduates have benefited from the spiritual, academic, athletic, and social opportunities provided by our school.

The campus is located in Northeast Florida on the south side of the St. Johns River in Jacksonville, a growing metropolitan center with a population of more than 1.5 million people.  The school is operated under the ecclesiastical auspices of the Diocese of Saint Augustine.

I am proud to report that we remain committed to the original mission of our school; to prepare students well for college and life, in the tradition for which Catholic high schools have always been known.
BK offers an excellent course of study which features a diverse curriculum including an impressive selection of College Preparatory, Honors and AP choices.  In this 2019-2020 school year, we are launching the AP Capstone Diploma Program.

But, academic opportunities are just the beginning. Students are encouraged to participate fully in campus life and activities that will result in a well-formed high school experience. Our Department of Campus Ministry, Department of School Counseling, Fine Arts Programs, Athletics Program, and extensive student organizations promote a student’s spiritual, intellectual and physical growth.

I invite you to explore all areas of our website and to follow BK throughout the year on various social media.  If you would like to learn more about Bishop Kenny High School, please contact the Office of Admissions.
