About Crusader Boys Cross Country

The boys cross country team can best be described by two of our most important team mottos. The first is, “One Team, One Family”. Those words speak to the fact that everyone on this team matters. From fastest to slowest the coaches and athletes celebrate the success of every runner on this team and in turn every athlete must be willing to put in the same effort and the commitment. This whole team approach makes us a family that is willing to work hard and sacrifice for each other. The second important motto of “Tradition of Excellence” stems from the first. Since we are team that works hard from the first person to the last person, we have created a program that has produced over three decades of sustained success including eight State Championship teams, six State Runner-Up teams, eight individual State Champions, three individual State runner-ups, one Footlocker National Qualifier, and a streak of top 10 finishes at the State Championship race dating back to 1983!

“Just look at our entire coaching staff and you can see the kind of impact this program has on its athletes.  Each and every one of us is an alum of the BK cross country program from different decades:  80s, 90s, 2000s, and 2010s.  Competing for this team created not only a long-lasting love for the sport, but a love for this program in particular.  More importantly, this team molds young men into incredible adults who were inspired to return by the desire to continue passing on the amazing impact, experience, and tradition of Bishop Kenny cross country.”
