About BK Cheerleading
The Bishop Kenny Competitive Cheerleading Squad exists to promote enthusiastic school spirit, while being disciplined and focused in a rigorous and demanding pursuit of athletic commitment. The BK Competition team executes a choreographed 2 minute and 30 second routine consisting of a cheer that incorporates signs, poms, and megaphones to showcase sideline skills. There is also a specific timed music section in the routine that integrates a high energy dance, jump sequence, pyramids, and elite stunting. These athletes work hard, practicing multiple days each week for extensive hours to accomplish the squad goal.
Together as a team, we maintain superior academic and athletic standards while developing character, self-esteem, self-discipline, and Catholic identity, plus loyalty to teammates, school, and community. Bishop Kenny competitive cheerleaders are determined, dedicated, have grit, and show up physically/mentally as they represent our school, the coaches, and the cheerleading program.
